I come bearing pictures...

Hi all,
I have pictures! I don't have my editing software anymore so they aren't fabulous, but they are here and hence my blog will suddenly become more interesting.

I present The hubby and I as Charlie Brown and Lucy.

Charlie singing "Only You" on an out of tune Uke.

And my super model dog sporting his awesome skull sweater that makes me laugh.

He's the cutest

Whoa, I think I am a little liberal with the candy. 6:30 and I am out. Partly because I wanted to be but still maybe I should slow it down a bit next time.

My fleeting moment of fame...

See if you can find me in here

Tonight is the ward Halloween party. I will try to get a good picture of me and the hubs and our rendition of Charlie Brown and Lucy. I am making no promises, because when I make promises it doesn't happen.

G-g-g-g-g-reetings...

It's been a bit chilly here the last few days. I am not really happy about this skipping seasons stuff that has been going on. My most favorite seasons are the transition seasons Spring and Fall and I have now missed both this year. It's either hot or cold there seems very little in between.

The hubs and I just got back from taking pictures.

From talking to older people and experiencing it myself, it would seem that we carry with us a view of who we are inside. We think we know what we look like, and then catch a glimpse of ourselves in the mirror or in the monitor of a digital camera and it's almost like you are thinking, "who the heck is that person?", only to find out it's you. In my case, to my horror. Suddenly the whole photo shoot idea seems so bad to me. I am not sure when this other person ate the bean pole girl I was, but I sure wish she hadn't. *sigh*

I am trying out The daily plate.com to see if it can help me find myself again, in a matter of speaking. I am finding though, that I don't eat so bad on my own. I set it to help me loose a pound a week, and I gotta say I am not missing out on much, or maybe I am just forgetting all of my snacks. Anyway, I am going to give it a whirl but I am of the opinion that there is something wrong with me. Something that effects my hormones (infertility) and quite possibly my ability to maintain and loose weight. Of course, finding a doctor who will even entertain the idea seems nigh unto impossible.

So, I will post pictures later, if there happen to be any that I feel I want anyone to see.

Follow the prophet...

I do not come bearing pictures. Those have been postponed until next weekend when I am hoping for more cooperative weather.

I do have a fun dad story though.

So, my mom has started working for the first time since she has been a mom which has been a really long time. She decided, being the most generous and kind mother that she is that we would all go on a cruise with her earnings. Each couple would have to pay half but we would all go together and have a fabulous time. Enter economic doom stage left. My dad is hesitant to spend the money on the cruise because things are kind of dicey right now. Valid point. He's kind of been dragging his feet anyway. I don't think Mexico is his favorite destination and that money could go to use other places. My mom decides that if they say anything in conference that indicates that we should save our money and not go she will cancel it. It's the end morning conference and Pres. Monson is speaking of family and making memories and spending that quality time together. My husband looks at me and says I guess we are going on the cruise. I kid you not, three minutes after the amen my dad calls and says. "Did you hear the prophet tell us to go on the cruise?!?!" It was so funny to me. Follow the prophet, he knows the way! So all of this to say we are going on a cruise in January and I am so excited. It's going to be so much fun.

I love my parents.

Weekend plans...

I am excited about this weekend. It's Conference, which can be somewhat time consuming but I have been really excited to hear what is going to be said. It's going to be great. I have had friends suggest in the past praying for something specific and then really listening to conference and they say you will get an answer. I am sure I will, but I am going to try to take notes and the whole nine yards. I need some spiritual nourishment. :)

Sunday afternoon I think we are going to head out to the forest and try to get some pictures for our adoption profile. We will probably head out to the aspen trees by the peaks. Of course, it could be freezing cold and raining on Sunday in which case, I am hopeful that next weekend won't be too late to capture the Autumn magic. Either way the hubbs and I with a tripod ought to prove for interesting pictures. If all goes well we might actually have a picture to post! Woot!

Also, I have been informed that foster care classes start later this month. Now we have to decide if this is really a direction we should go. The adoption route seems so long, and the foster route sounds like it could involve A LOT of emotional pain for me, I just don't know if I could handle giving the babies up, so good thing conference and the prayer answer challenge are upon me. It's hard to decide what to do. I feel like I walk and walk but it's still the same ol' fork in the road.

I got a new phone! *throws confetti*

Isn't she pretty? Her name is Ruby and I am just so happy to have a display that displays I could dance. *pets Ruby*

The sadness will eat your soul...

Hubbs and I were driving to get some food. We passed the stop sign and came to a little yellow cat just sitting in the road. We couldn't figure out why it was just sitting there staring. Then we look to where it was staring. Lying in the road was another little cat, A little Siamese looking cat, it couldn't move I wasn't even sure it was alive. The yellow cat looked so concerned and sad, I almost started to cry. I was going to jump out of the car and try to save the little cat in the road but hubs started to drive. On our way home we saw the police and a lady holding the cat in a towel. I hope it was OK.
It was kind of amazing to see the concern in the other cat's eyes. You don't think about animals having feelings. It was just sad.

So there, have a sad story to take with you. Sorry to be a downer.

So here is happy news. My favorite show ever is starting again tonight! YAY! Pushing Daisies! I am so excited.
