Easter and Birthday fun...

I took some pictures of my neice while she was up they came out pretty cute. I tried to get the uber cool vintage effect that my sweet cuz uses. Tell me what you think.
Easter was loads of fun. I had a great time and I think we survived the single bathroom rather well. It's always nice when people come up to visit us. Friday we just chilled by the fire. Sat we had German pancakes, which are the bomb-diggity, for breakfast. Thanks Heather! My husbands family does Easter on Sat. The bunny the whole nine yards and I gotta say, I love it. It's a great idea. Sunday is traditionally a busy day as it is for us Mormons and it was really nice to just hang out eat some candy dye some eggs and do all the Easter stuff. Then Sunday can be all about the wonderous gift of the resurrection and Atonement. It is a tradition we will be sure to carry on to our family when they finally get here. We walked around town when the snow and rain stopped it was good times. Sun we went to church and had a lovely dinner outside where it had suddenly become warm and wonderful.

This picture was taken Sat morning.

I love the face Emily is making. It's fabulous.

These were taken Sunday afternoon.

Why do kids always think it so funny to lick you? Why?

Turns out uncle Jason is a pretty swell guy.

I think he's pretty swell

Aubrey thought my rain boots were the best thing ever. Polka dots they pretty much rock.

About Sunday my dishwasher decided to be smelly. I couldn't find anything but then Monday I found the culprit.

My birthday was really good. It started on Sat when my dear sis in law bought me a tres leches cake. It was goooood. Then I opened my present from the hubs. He got me a wii fit, which I like very much except he's beating me on everything. I don't know how he manages to beat me on everything but he does.
Tuesday I got to work and my boss had gotten me a really beautiful and huge bouquet of flowers. They smell soooooo good and I love them lots.

Then we went out to eat at Oreganos and I got to eat white chocolate macadamia nut pazookie! Yay! I also tried their sweet potato fries and I got to say, as far as sweet potato fries go they were the best I have had. Then I got a free trip to Marshals sans a complaining husband, he tried his best but still complained and I got THIS!

It's a pig watering can, you know you are all jealous.
We discussed it and I think the reason I can rock the clearance is because I take things nobody else would ever want, like a pig watering cans. Or that I am just so freaking cool. It's one or the other. The pig will add to the whimsy of my home rather nicely I think.

Dead Daisies...

I should write about Thanksgiving and how much I love it and how awesome it was to see all the cousins and family and feel the love. I should write and post a picture of the random roll that was left in my tree limbs when I got home. I think the Thanksgiving celebration got a little out of hand next door while we were away. O_o I should write about going to see Twilight and not reading the books and how even on a Monday night after all the mania had died down I still heard girls squealing over Edward. You usually loose the interactiveness of a movie after opening weekend. It was more than funny, and I have been saying things like "Edward wouldn't do that to me." Or "Edward would let me buy that." to my husband. It's great leverage. ;) Not that my husband doesn't already basically let me do what I want. He loves me lots. :)

I should write about all of these things but friends, I have sad news. I can't help but blame you all for it too. I have been telling you and warning you and yet you did not turn on the TV and watch Pushing Daisies and yes my friends it is going to be canceled. I hope you are happy! *stern mad face* That was my TV paradise and now it's going to be gone forcing me to buy the season DVDs and watch with a hankie in hand over and over. It was the best show ever and I am sad. They always cancel my shows and it makes me angry.

To quote the baby of my preschool class: I am incredible! I AM ANGRY!

I come bearing pictures...

Hi all,
I have pictures! I don't have my editing software anymore so they aren't fabulous, but they are here and hence my blog will suddenly become more interesting.

I present The hubby and I as Charlie Brown and Lucy.

Charlie singing "Only You" on an out of tune Uke.

And my super model dog sporting his awesome skull sweater that makes me laugh.

He's the cutest

Whoa, I think I am a little liberal with the candy. 6:30 and I am out. Partly because I wanted to be but still maybe I should slow it down a bit next time.

Halloween is a go...

This year hubby and I are going to be Charlie Brown (hubby obviously) and Lucy (me). The hubsters costume is pretty easy. I ordered a Charlie Brown shirt online for $10. Mine should be fairly simple but isn't turning out to be. Basically I need to wear a blue dress, I just threw out my saddle shoes a few months ago but I think I can survive without buying more. Here are my options:
I have a blue knee length skirt and I thought I could buy This shirt It has the white collar and would give the overall impression of Lucy. The blues would probably not match, but my Halloween is going to be spent with one maybe two other families in our friends house so it's not horribly imperative. I wish we had a picture of our Napoleon Dynamite and Deb Halloween. It was hot, but that's neither here nor there.

But the more I think about it I feel like I need a shorter blue dress to really sell it. If I wore a shorter dress I would have to wear leggings or jeans or something lame, not only that, it's going to be cold here in a month. Here are my dress options:
Not really close but I would probably wear it again. Assuming the dress curse doesn't strike and I end up looking like a total clown in it. Dresses and I are not friends.
I thought I could dye this little number a bright blue hue. Probably not practical.
This one probably would be best for my purposes, but has very low re-wear value and I could look like a blimp which is fine when you are Lucy but not so hot in normal life. Of course, I probably couldn't buy fabric and get it made for less than that.
Thoughts?
