Somebody stole my shoes...

116/365
This child. She is the grubbiest thing. I am constantly finding puddles of water and mixtures of things today she dotted my table with fingerfulls of yogurt saying, "footprint, footprint, footprint."

Who could resist?

115/365
I told them not to get wet. But was I surprised? Not in the least.

Rain, rain, come and stay...

114/365
The kids live for rainy days. Running and jumping in the rain is a favorite activity, and a rare treat. Even dinosaurs like to jump in puddles, I am not sure how they feel about being thrown though.

Me time...

113/365
Been trying to get into a habit that sticks. I find that I focus much more if the scriptures on real live actual paper. It also seems like the kids realize I am doing something different and they seem to give me a little more space to do it. I like the idea of studying my scriptures when my kids are awake to show them they are important to me but I also see the benefit in getting up earlier to do it. Either way, I am determined to find out what works best.

Shall we dance?

112/365

Emmett and Wild Style share a dance.

The goal...

This is what happens after I make my bed. It's fun apparently.

Cabin fever...

109/365
One day of lounging around catching up on Once Upon a Time was nice, but I can tell it's getting to everyone. This boy today was on a rampage, one that ended with a bathroom sink full of hot wheels water and toothpaste with a floor to match.
I sure hope I am feeling a bit better tomorrow because we are going to need to get out for some air. He had me draw faces on all of his lego bricks. I was crafty and stuck tape on first they can come off. I know, impressive thinking with a head full of fog. Good thing this kid is cute. ;)

Awesome!

108/365
This boy kept me company today as I laid in bed. He was jamming to some tunes on my headphones. "These are awesome mom!"

No picture...

107/365
I didn't get a picture today. Human failing, the fact that I am getting sick and that I have to learn a whole new system with which to process my photos has put me in a slump. Be back soon. I am sick. Sad day.

Rolls...

106/365
I had fully intended on making myself a cake. The boy thought it ought to be a dinosaur cake and Moonpie thought maybe a Mickey cake is just what I needed. The kids get excited about a cake, but I made these today and it's almost the same thing. The kids just lick the icing off so I am not seeing much difference. Except maybe the amount of butter. So. Much, Butter.

All by myself...

105/365
Sister here picked out her own outfit and shoes and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with it. :) She's adorable.

Gifts that bring tears...

104/365
This morning I made homemade whipped cream and the boy was happily licking the spatula and bowl clean and putting mustaches and beards on himself with it, because it's whipped cream and why not?
My husband looks at me and says don't you want a picture of that and I did so I go to grab my camera and my camera is not there, instead there was a brand new beautiful camera there. I have been saving my money for a new camera but he bought it for me for my birthday. I started to cry and gave him a big ol' hug. He spoils me for sure.
Also, my parents came down and we had a great day together. I got my free sandwich at firehouse subs and dinner at Joe's farm grill. Who could ask for anything more?

Germs...

103/365

I have a sneaking suspicion that we may be in for some sickness.
Call it a hunch.

1 in 3...

Did you know that one in three people are non conformists?
And not even always the same 1 in 3.
It's true.
I've done research.

I finished my book...

100/365
I feel like I maybe should have prepared better to honor 100 days of picture taking, but instead I just took a picture of my shiny new ukulele song book. I'm pretty happy about it.
A friend of mine had one she put together of all her songs. and I thought it was a brilliant idea, but I couldn't find a binder to love. They were all so boring. The only ones I found that were pretty were the big kind not the half size. So, I searched. I came across this one at target first thing but I wasn't impressed. It soon became evident that what I wanted was not something that was made in the world of mini binders and so I went to work and made it much prettier and considerably more awesome. If I do say so myself. It might not hold up and it kind of reminds me of the wedding book in my big fat Greek wedding but it makes me happy and I think for once in my life I didn't over do it. Unless, of course, I do decide to add more and totally muck it up, because that's who I am. Just one more flower...

Piles of pillows...

099/365
It was a great day for some pillow jumping.

Robots...

098/365
I had so many plans for these robot costumes. I wanted to do a fancy stylized photo shoot with the twins in them, but this is the first time in months that I could get doodle pants in it and moon pie is just not that interested or maybe his brother won't let him near it. In any event, they are falling apart in the garage so I figured, eh what the heck.

I like how in character the boys are. Poor cousin just had to borrow the parts that had fallen off. Sad day for him.

She rides...

097/365
I actually didn't take a picture today, but I had one I almost used the other day so, here you go.
Doodle grew tall enough to reach the peddles! Everybody out of the way!

Sing a song...

096/365

We are working on potty training. It's the worst. So I worked on my project. I am making a book of all of my ukulele songs.A friend of mine made one and I thought it was such a good idea, I looked high and low for a fun mini binder and found nothing I could get excited about so I am making my own.

Going Home...

095/365

We came home earlier than we planned and watched some conference. Doodle was making us cocoa. I think I could never see candy again and only miss it a tiny bit. Too much! The kids were crazy grumpy today but we survived and I am ready to watch what I missed of conference and do my best to implement what I was told I need to implement. I love conference it's just the shot in the arm I need.

Easter Saturday...

She was dying her eggs purple, can you tell?

Sis, the best dog ever.

This shot is especially amazing if you realize there are 20 something kids running around looking for eggs and there is not a leg or arm or wisp of another kid in sight. This is what we call a miracle. :)

My husband's family does all the Easter festivities on Sat. So the bunny has been scheduled for Friday night. The egg hunts and all the fun are on that day. That way Sunday is reserved as a special and more sacred kind of day. I really like that tradition.
So we got up and went to visit my sister in law and her new baby lamb. We also visited some of the chickens and ducks. We went on a great ranger ride up the mountain and to the creek. There were kaleidoscopes of tiny blue butterflies. (I was going to say swarm but I looked it up and although swarm would be acceptable, how often do you get to say kaleidoscope? From there it was an easy choice.) I of course, forgot my camera, I thought we would go back but the spot we were planning on using was in use and the cars wouldn't have made it up the path.
We had a picnic at the pond in stead. That was fun. We all got too much sun and because of my light sleeping I was exhausted by then. Later the Easter bunny hid eggs and the kids got to go hunting. We had a really great day with our really great family.

Happy Birthday...

093/365

Cheese cake is her favorite. :)

For Easter break we traveled to be with family to celebrate the birth of this wonderful woman.
She took us in when we needed a home. She really is what every grandmother should be. Her house is not fancy, but it is often filled with people. I've never heard her complain about it either. 22 children took over her house this weekend and she was thrilled to have them there. She is what I want to be when I grow up, I want my family to feel completely comfortable to descend upon my house at any time. Because she is, and they do, and she's happy and they are too.
She is truly wonderful. Happy Birthday Grandma. We love you.

I found this picture later and I just think it sums up Grandma to a T. All those kids who love her just swarming around her. It's perfect.

Huntin' Critters...

091/365

Doodle exclaimed, "It's a critter mom! It's a critter!"
Indeed it was, and it was in the house. I kept forgetting it was there, gave me three heart attacks before we built it a path to the outside world. For all we know he made it.
The boy was really wanting to keep him for a pet, but I am content with the arrangements...
You know, as long as we don't find him alive or otherwise later. *shutters*
