Last...

273/365

This poor guy needs a  home.
Please save him from the crushing love. ;)

Blue drool...

272/365
A blue sprinkle escaped his lips...

The circle of life...

271/365
The pups are finding new homes. It's a sad day around here.

Here comes the sun...

270/365
Boy howdy did we get rain! It was hard because the kids really wanted to play while it was raining but there was a lot of lightning. We had to wait till it blew over. There was plenty of water left though.

Visit...

269/365
We love when papa and grandma come to stay.
Could she be any more dirty?
 I die.

Helpers...

268/365
Mr. Moonpie and the Doodle were helping me wash some windows. Which, is fair, since it was their yogurt in hand print shapes decorating all the windows to begin with. When we were done Moonpie was so upset. He wanted to keep washing so we continued on. It's not as if they couldn't use the cleaning.
I will be sad when helping wears off.

Puppies to love...

266/365

There are going to be some seriously sad kids when these puppies find homes.
The puppies, however, may feel differently.

A moustache completes any look...

265/365
Lookin good!

Make way for the hook...

264/365

Theboy: Mom can Smee give us a bath?
Me: If it's ok with Smee (dad)
Theboy: I'll just tell him it's his job.

Earned his hook...

263/365

This boy worked so hard for his costume. He had to stay in his bed for 10 nights. I know it was hard for him and he did it!
He looks rather dashing.
I'll admit, I am going to miss the funnel hook.

Flattery...

262/365

Doodle always has food in her mouth. She wanted her hair up too. She does everything her older brother does. The little boy thought hair sticking up was too messy. He about had a conniption when I put his up. Oh well.

Sick days...

261/365
We've been sick and it sticks with this guy the worst.

The Hyped Hurricane...

260/365
We thought we were going to be slammed by a hurricane but it was more fun than anything. I am glad though. It seems it wouldn't take much for one to hit and bring the area to a halt. We need the rain but I am not sure we need that much at once.

Puppy Rescue...

259/365
Help me?
No puppies were harmed.

The crows nest...

258/365
Land Ho!

Spikey hair...

257/365
This boy and I went to see Seussical the musical Jr.
He loved it.
The monkeys had mohawks.
So guess who is constantly wanting his hair spikey?
Yup. :)

carnival

256/365
We had a carnival party at our church. This was a train being pulled by an ATV. The kids played in water and had a blast.

Breakfast with the Cap...

255/365

Yesterday, the boy requested Captain America waffles. O_o
Today I tried my best and we had Captain America pancakes.
It's his shield.
You see it?
Right?
Who likes Captain America Pancakes?
That boy up there does!

For the love of books

254/365
This boy loves his books.

Fingerpaints, fairies and friends...

253/365

I am noticing that the boy is getting really good at evading my camera. I will have to work on that. :)
Today we went swimming.
We did finger painting.
We had a visitor. Yay!
We wore fairy wings.
We wrestled and played with puppies.
I love my tutu headed friend. She's a keeper.

Sick day self portrait...

250/365
We took a sick day, the grumpies and I. My head wants to explode and I'm not so pleasant to be around either.
This needs to go away. Now.

Water is magic...

249/365
When my kids are grumpy and sick and the whining and the crying get to me, I throw them in the tub. the change of pace usually results in a brief moment of silence and they love it...usually. This time not so much and they didn't stay in long, but you gotta try.

Flying...

248/365

I think one of the best things ever is watching Moonpie eat. He really tastes his food and contemplates the flavors and when he enjoys something, he enjoys it.
I had to add this one. This is what Megatron looks like when you have limited resources.
"I am wearing my transformers cowboy hat."
Mmmmmmmkay.
He's so stinking adorable. Never a dull moment and I never know who I am talking to from moment to moment. Keeps me on my toes for sure.
"I'm a helper bad guy."
My favorite kind.
We also had a concert. I was on ukulele, doodle on piano (she clears her throat before she starts to play. So adorable.), Moon pie on trumpet, and the boy on trombone and lead guitar. Fun times.

By hook or by crook...

246/365
I love the hook. I bought him a real one for his costume but I kind of love the creativity that necessity makes.

When I am older and grayer, and this boy is moving forward with his adult life, I think I will always remember him at this age. Dressing up, a different character every hour.
Today I had a pet monkey, a seal, he was a transformer, the joker, captain hook, and nice Darth Vader. It makes me all weepy to even think about him growing up. I can't even express how grateful I am that I chose to do this challenge this year.
It's truly been a gift.

Tuesdays with

245/365
This guy is trying to tell me he is missing meals. I don't buy it.
