Hi,
Some of you are probably wishing there was an update from me. We just completed our second round of in vitro on Thursday. Maybe completed is not the best of words, but at this point it is safe to say, the outcome is out of our hands. I spent a couple of days laying around. It's funny how you can feel fine but if you lay around like you are sick you start to feel sick. It's also funny that when you are laying around people constantly ask how you are feeling. I never felt better, just lazy. The actual putting in of the embryos is not that horrific. The taking out of the eggs is not so much fun, but the putting in, not so bad. J watched them put them in this time, and he said it would have been interesting if he hadn't have been having a panic attack worrying about them dropping the tiny syringe with the babies in it.
They put in four embryos. That's all we got. I must be some kind of infertile myrtle for sure. Even with tens of hundereds of dollars of high quality fertility drugs I got a whopping 7 eggs and out of them, 4 were good for implanting. Crazy hu? So there will be no more tries after this. I admit, I was hoping for some to put on ice and to use in the future, but that is not our destiny. I find out in two weeks if it took, and I hope with everything in me, I don't end up with four or more. Wouldn't that be crazy? What if all four took AND one split into twins! *dies* The implications are dire for my sanity, I am sure we would get through it somehow but how crazy would that be? The Dr. says I have a slight chance of twins, and I am OK with that. Twins I think we could survive.
If it doesn't work we will pour ourselves into finding our family through adoption. I do know that the children who are meant to be a part of your family come to you. I fully believe that, so one way or another we will get them here. I am really hopeful this will work though.
In other news,
My son may be a beaver, or a termite.
