Merry Christmas!

360/365
I wanted a picture of them in their Christmas jammies, but this girl opened her princess dress first and I blinked and it was on. Then it gave her a rash. :( Sad right?

The twins got the boy this cloak. He looks pretty intimidating with his bow and arrow. He has been practicing and is getting pretty good with it. Hopefully I don't live to regret this.

Tea sets and wooden cookies and dollies and kitties and giant blocks oh my!

We were going to spend Christmas with our family out of town, but Christmas eve eve moonpie screamed ALL. NIGHT. LONG. All night. I got zero sleep. It was terrible. He's still hoarse. We were driving back out to my sister in laws house, the kids were all asleep in the car and we just decided to drive home. All I wanted for Christmas at that moment was my bed. It's hard to take Christmas on the road and a little strange to drive it three hours there and back but in the end I think we made the right choice for sanity.
It's been strange but also kind of nice to just have our own Christmas. It's the first time in 10 years that we have been in our own place and home for Christmas. It's been a fun day, but everyone refused to nap and I am aiming for an early bed time.
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We love you all so much.
Anybody else think stuffed animals multiply in the toy box while you aren't looking? I am pretty sure they do.

My aunt brought her Christmas present over to play!
The Sugar Plum was a puppy hog. No body else got to hold her as much.
She is a sweety.

Crawl...

353/365
As it turns out, a camera really motivates this guy to crawl. You would think away, but no, he wanted the camera bad.

Just call me angel, of the laundry, angel...

352/365
When snow is no more like fiction or a myth, you improvise.

Zoolights and a birthday...

351/365

The husband took the day off for his birthday. We collected free food and went to zoolights.
Christmas lights are hard to capture on a camera.

Free brother...

I think she would trade him in if she could.
Luckily she seems to have let it go.

The vision.

The reality.
"Pretend I'm not here!"
"Great, got it."
When little brothers are the bullies.

Wonderland Nativity...

341/365
I got this on clearance last year.
Debut on display on my buffet of nativities.
It's weird and I love it.
Also, I didn't take a picture on this day, but I thought about it.

No words...

340/365
I don't really know.
It's the only picture I got this day too.
He's cuter than the dolls, that I know for sure.

"Helping" grandma...

338/365
We "helped"grandma make cookies today.
That was our advent calendars act of kindness. A little self serving, I know, but still a good lesson.

Mario and the giant apple...

337/365
I can't be sure, but I think he is writing a musical about Super Mario Brothers.
Aaaannndddd, eating a huge apple.
"Mom! Take a picture of this apple!"

Temple Lights...

336/365

When I was a little girl there was a bigger tree here where the kids are sitting. It had huge branches and the lights would make a canopy. It was my favorite place when we would go. The tree has long since been removed. I remember the first year it was gone. I was so sad and I still miss it.

I forgot my camera last time and I am kicking myself. Many more people there tonight. I think I will try again next year before the are officially open. Grab my tripod and see if I can get anything good.

These kids would look at temple lights all night if I let them.
Christmas lights might be the most favorite thing ever right now.
I loved that doodle brought her camera. "Purple ones! Purples say cheese." Then she would take a picture. We listened to the presentation the boy was super concerned about the person inside the statue and how he would get out. I tried to explain about speakers and stuff, but he looked at me like I was crazy. I wonder how he thinks the TV works. I will have to ask.

If you have never been to the Mesa temple to see the lights you really are missing out. They have nativity scenes from all over the world, a movie about the birth of Christ, the statue, a concert on the lawn, and of course the lights.
After we walked over to the DQ and had a family home evening treat.
Love this little family of mine.
