What could go wrong?

334/365
1 ginger bread house + 7 children 5 and younger.
What could possibly go wrong?
Well, the children could be sent away while we prepare the ginger bread house for decorating and write all over themselves with marker for starters. O_o
After I scrubbed blue beard down, we attempted Family pictures.
These two were my only willing participants.
This is the best one we got before moonpie threw his head against my nose in anger and I burst into hot angry frustrated exhausted tears.
He was mad because I made him put down the "Ickey car" *sigh*
Note to self: Family pictures first before three days of no sleep and sickness sets in. Mkay? Thanks.
Pretty lousy poopy day.
If we never get a retake that may be the Christmas card. Just sayin'.

Make a wish!...

333/365
Party time!
Moonpie got a remote control Mickey car. He was hilarious to watch he was just so very excited.
Doodle got a Minnie mouse doll and a Daisy to dress up.
Good times!

"Come take my picture."

332/365
"Grandma put make up on me."
I am noticing that kids who are not my kids love getting their pictures taken.
I love the heating pad as a skirt too. It's the best. :)

Happy packing day to you...

331/365
The twinsies are three, they did a dance of glee.

Re-creation...

330/365
Bleebo and Gina are at it again.

Hammock hair...

329/365

Old friends, new friends...

328/365
We had a reunion with some of my old pals from college and the spouses who could come.
It was so nice to see everyone again.
I have serious back yard envy.
Doodle made a fast friend.

The show...

327/365
Caught a Bleebo and Gina show today.
The kids play the piano and grandma sings and makes the monkeys dance. Then she throws them and screams.
Good times. :)

Last game...

326/365
Went to watch a brisk last game of the season. I would like to say we saw them play but grassy hill took the spotlight and where the kids go, I go.

The lilly livered dog and the pearot...

325/365

A scurvy sea dog plucked the eye out of this here pear.
Twas a sad day. Mom made the wee pear an eye patch and he became the pearott.
He seeks revenge on Ellie the eye snatcher.

Autumn means dirt...

224/365

It's so nice to play outside!

Bounce U.

223/365

Took the kiddos to bounce u. It was pretty fun. I couldn't get the twins on the big slides, but they love the T-ball and the air cannons. It was a good time.

The grumpies, the angries, and the saddies...

322/365
Unfortunately there has been a lot of this going around...

Finally Cool...

221/365
It was actually cool enough to not want to get out of bed this morning.
Mid November is as good a time as any to bust out the winter clothing, right? And by winter clothing I mean pants as opposed to shorts.
The boys got up early and played games on the tablet while I tried to justify staying in bed all day.

Fish, er, asparagus...

320/365
Some days you end up locked in your bathroom sitting in the fetal position in your bathtub while your kids beat down the door.
On those days you don't really get any charming or super great pictures because yeah.
So you take pictures of the purple asparagus (which I loved) while the last light disappears behind the block wall, while blocking out the chaos with spiritual music in your head phones.
Because some days that's all you can do.

Doodle was pretending to be a cat tonight. She decided she was a cat and asparagus was fish and well, cats eat fish. So she ate asparagus. She ate lots of asparagus and if that's what it takes to get a kid to eat asparagus, I am not above calling asparagus fish.

Purple asparagus turns green when you cook it.
Weird.
Goodnight.

Sensitivity...

319/365
The kids decided it would be really funny to wear mustaches to their aunt's house tonight. Doodle happily put hers on and then proceeded to cry and wail and moan about because it "hurted me."
It was so sad, but I did have to get a picture first.
She did survive the ordeal. ;)

Cool, cool glasses....

318/365

"Mom look! We are buddies because we are both wearin' glasses!"
and there was this:
"I made this for you! It's perfect!"
*riiiiiiip*
"You know what? It is still perfect."
"It's ripped."
"You can still love something even when it's not perfect. Like, I'm not perfect but you love me. Right? "
"My mom is perfect."
"Wait, who's your mom then? :)"
"You are!"

This bright, friendly, sharing boy is the sunshine in my life.

Happy helper...

317/365
This is my helper boy.
I love his cheerful happy spirit.
He is a stinker and a brother through and through.
He loves to bother his siblings.
But all in all, he is a pure joy.

Best friends...

316/365
Today I was able to go take pictures of my best friend and her best friend.
I learned that taking pictures of animals is almost like trying to take pictures of toddlers.
They aren't perfect but so many came out well I think.
I hope she likes them.
We have been friends for a very long time. We have changed and grown and evolved and we are still the best of friends.
So thankful to have such good friends in my life.

Jedi adventures...

315/365
We went to the zoo with everybody else in the metro area. I lugged my camera all over the zoo only to find that I left the card sitting in my computer.
I am grateful for those men and women who serve and have served our country. I am grateful to live in a wonderful place where I am afforded the freedoms and blessings we are. I am thankful for my family that has served and their willingness to give for something they believe in.

Off the hook...

314/365
Today's blanket fort was pretty cool. We are getting better at this.
I can't believe four years ago this boy officially became our boy always and forever.
Love him so.

All about the accessories...

313/365
I am pretty sure there is nothing more adorable than the aviator hat.

Salsa for dinner...

312/365
What do you do when you come home and dinner has not been planned?
Chips and Salsa!

Hope and Sadness...

308/365
This morning I found myself reading dates on tiny headstones. Some old, some new, some only had one date, born and died, some a few days some a matter of months to a few years. Freshly turned dirt. My heart ached for my beautiful dear friend and her family. I thought of how close we came to being there, I thought of my Twinkies. I cried today. I cried buckets. I cried sadness and I cried hope. I'm so grateful for my Savior and the hope he can help us find. It's there, in everything, in the dark, in the hurt, in the sad and in the pain. I'm thankful for that peace, I'm thankful for that promise and the ability we have to gain strength and carry on.

My Hearth...

307/365
We have visitors and she is super excited about it. I am super excited about my pumpkin turkey and my chalkboard fireplace.
Thanks pinterest.

Riding a duck backwards...

306/365
We were able to celebrate a nieces birthday in the park.
It's finally Fall and it was a beautiful day.

Lost boy...

305/365
He loved my costume on Halloween and asked me to paint his face first thing this morning so he could be a "lost brother".  Which, by the way, is adorable.
