I bought a new rug, maybe when I get my camera *fanfare* tomorrow I will take a picture, but I would like some curtains in my kitchen that match that teal/bright blue color. It's bright bright light blue grey white and black. I do have red accents in the kitchen and also some yellow I would say the main colors are dark cobalt blue, teal, red.

Here are my options From More Cloth dot Com

Red Polka Dots
Squirrels!
Yikes spensive chickens
Red with white dots
It's bright blue
cute toile
Very promising
This is totally cute! Circus!
Cherries and apples
Swirly teal goodness
This would really tie the dark and light blue
Bright blue flowers
Olive Rose

I will try to add pictures maybe tomorrow to help with the determination.
Any thoughts? Favorites? Suggestions?

No camera no fun

My blog is temporarily out of service due to our cameras being stolen, I may get a copy of my cousin's pictures, or our friends pictures, but until then this blog is temporarily on hold, at least until I am less stressed and can compile my thoughts into something more cohesive and entertaining.
I would like to write about our Utah trip eventually...

Musette Bracelet GUEST GIVEAWAY!!!!

Musette Bracelet GUEST GIVEAWAY!!!!

and I am still trying to win things...

I go out Walking...

On Friday I went for a walk with the lil pup, because he was restless and I needed to get away from my thoughts for a while. Being alone with ones thoughts can be quite the burden at times.

It was another Freebie Friday!

This ginormous desk was sitting out by the curb waiting for a new home. I would've taken it, but my house, as you have seen from the previous post, is in no state to be accepting giant pieces of solid wood furniture. It makes me wonder what fabulous treasures I miss sitting by the side of the road. Anyway, giant solid wood furniture is not cheap, it would've been cool to re-paint, maybe I could have sold it. I guess I should have thought in those terms but I passed on the gift of the freebie Friday. I think it was gone too once the hubby got home so maybe someone else who could really use it got it.

I decided to make some bread. I bought this loverly bread maker that makes bread the way bread is supposed to be shaped, not all topsy turvey like many bread makers, but my bread came out deformed anyway...

It was good, everyone said so, but I am left wondering what went wrong. I usually use my bread maker just for dough maybe it was angered by that fact. Who knows. In the end though, bread is bread and it's good bread at that. I guess it just goes to show that things don't have to be perfect or wonderful to serve their purpose. Life still tastes good even when it goes a little a lot awry...

Our guests are gone, all of my shelves are cleared to the height of a 13 month old. Tomorrow I will put it all together again and await my parents, and the giant dog of doom, Bufords visit. He's not a bad dog, he's just huge that's all, really really huge...

My House (picture heavy, BEWARE)

So, my friend Courtney has been asking me to post pictures of my house. I have been cleaning in an attempt to not die of embarrassment next time someone just drops in to see our house. In my defence nobody has even looked at our house or said boo to us, (including our Realtor, Realtors what a racket that is.)So of course while we were gone some people wanted to look at our house. I haven't even thought about random people wandering around our house in a year!
Anyway, I was cleaning, we also have guests coming today, and I took a ton of pictures. Once all the visitors clear out I can get some pictures of the back rooms until then they will remain a mystery...
Come on In...

Love my little Indian picture. It's so cute.

I couldn't get a good picture of my chair in this room, sorry it's so dark.

Family Room (and cue circus music)

This picture inspired the barbie desk.

and here is the barbie desk

I think I am going to paint that chair red. the purple kind of comes out of nowhere. *cue circus music*

My little window close up

A few close ups of what's on my hugemongous fireplace mantle

My window art.

And a few of my favorite things

I got her at a garage sale. She is from japan circa 1940 ish. So cute. I love her.

A loverly Poem my dear Risa wrote for me. I think the only poem I have ever had written for me.

My old books, my armless princess. She recently lost her arm while I was moving stuff to paint this room the beautiful color it currently is. And of course, a gator...

Moving on to the Dining room! *throws confetti* It's not so circus-tastic...

This picture was in my great grandma's attic I guess. My mom just gave it to me last time I was down. I quite like it.

Some pictures that we took during our photo a day challenge.

And in we go to the Kitchen...

Got the limeade goodness on clearance at a store here downtown. Love it. I got the vintage flour and sugar ads at the same store when it was going out of business. Sad day...

And my favorite:

My winking cat salt and pepper shakers.

I am debating pictures of our room, I am in the process of picking a new color. I am thinking a brighter pretty green? I am not a very khaki army green kind of girl but it doesn't look horrible...
Bedroom:

OK, so the horse bowl, probably the most random of our wedding gifts. It's purpose now is to organize my husbands pocket crap, the problem? He has to actually use it, which he doesn't really do...so it sits there collecting dust.

Awwww...my ukulele, and my wizard of OZ bobble heads!

My dear and wonderous marmie made me this bedspread for Christmas. I love it. I am thinking of painting the room the green in the bedspread, I was thinking a pretty purple but not a girly purple a manly purple, if that exisits...but I think green will be my best bet.

So if I do green, what do I paint these?

A darker green? White? They are quite the wall full of closet/cupboards... Maybe a super cool vinyl scene?

So I guess these will be my before pictures and hopefully I can get it painted and have some afters.

Bathroom:

I am planning on painting the bathroom grey, with a maroon pinstripe, I am hoping it will come out cool although with my vintage goodness in there the 50's vibe works.
I didn't get many good pictures of the bathroom...

Hallway
Same as before only I added my two dollar trumpet to the top of my Louis Armstrong poster.

This is the doorway that has been named the Hell Mouth by my friend Rachel. This is where Jason went crashing to his fingers death. The stairs are scary and bad news so this sign has been added as a safety feature. When the hell mouth tried to claim Rachel's ankle we had to take action...

That's all for now. I will be back with fewer pictures of the back two rooms. I have ideas and I need to get them organized.

Every piece of furniture was either given to us or a garage sale find. I think I have 3 pieces of furniture that we actually bought at a store. One of them was a store going out of business, the other was a sort of a furniture consignment store and Ikea, so we got a great deal on our stuff. That ain't bad.

Fun with Family...

It's been a while. So, a couple of weeks ago Jason's parents came up and we went and saw some cool stuff around us.

We went to Walnut Canyon...

Jason insisted on eating whatever looked like or was labeled a berry or currant. I kept waiting for him to foam at the mouth. He's such a goober, I am glad he didn't die.

It was fun. I like that place, although hiking back out when it's hot is not the most fun ever it's not bad. Jason and I have been there when there was snow on the ground and a deer ran off the side of a very steep mountain right in front of us. I about jumped out of my skin. There were lots of people this time, nothing so dramatic happened but it was really nice to get out and see stuff.

We also went to Sunset Crater...

These flower grow other places but this is the only place they grow in this wonderful color. I think it's so cool next to the black lava rocks. Soo cool, we had never been here before and we didn't make it to the other ruins but that just means we get a super cool trip for next time!

So life is moving along. We are still waiting for good news. I am really hoping we get some soon. I don't want to say too much until we know what is going on. Keep praying. Pray for the judge to make the best choice.

I feel like my Summer is almost over and I didn't get near as much done as I always hope I will. I did get some done, so that's good but it would be so cool if I could say I got it all done. I need to get to work.

We have company this weekend, maybe we will go to the Grand Canyon. Then my Parents are coming up Monday so that will be fun. I am excited. I am also working on hair things to maybe try to sell. We will see how it goes.

Sorry, I am dull. I don't get out much I guess. :)
