Write on!

We have some pretty cute kiddos in our family, if I do say so myself.
Tati

Tati has named herself Tati, which I just love. She is full of spunk.

This is her, "Hey there's a camera!" face, which I also just love.

She wears my shoes. She liked these until she met my red shoes. She LOVES my red shoes, but can you blame her? Red shoes are pretty much the best thing ever.
She can jump
She can run
She can run while wagging her tongue. She's pretty talented.

She can share. She also eats dog food, which I am not too worried about. I turned out OK.

She is OK too.

Tati has hands.
They help her do things.

Caught in the act!

Sometimes I think,

It might be neat,

to be almost two, too.

Love and miss you Tatiana!

Garage sale for lazy people, Lazy people = me...

There is a thrift shop in town within walking distance from me. It's pretty awesome. That's where I got the wonderful ukulele wielding pig salt and pepper shakers.  I also got the boy a fisher price puppy that sings songs, I forgot to take pictures of him. I saw said dog at Baby's R us while we were in the valley, $25! Thrift store price, $4. You can't beat that. Yeah it's used, but then I don't care so much when it gets wrecked.
So this store, is run like this. They go to the Phoenix metro area, they drive around and find all the stuff. They bring it back and sell it in their store. So, as much fun as it is to get a steal at a yard sale, and as much as I know they are charging me more than they got it, I have to say for the gas and the time and the effort and the being awake early, I like this store. It's like they took all the work of going to yard sales, and put it in one easy place, and ease is awesome.

This, I was happy to find. I think it will be perfect for all of our traveling and now that we have the van, I have a place to pack it! *throws confetti*

These little guys were to cute to pass up.

This one, I actually passed on two weeks ago and came back and go last week. It's a gamble though most of the good stuff goes on Monday morning when they open after their weekend of gathering. I am glad it was still there. They had some of those old metal glasses, the atomic looking ones, I didn't grab them they were six for $10 and they were pretty chipped up and old, but I have always thought they were pretty cool. I may go back by tomorrow and see if they are still there. I won't hold my breath though.
Anyway, that is what I do for fun, I scavenge second hand scavenging.
In other news, the boys eyes are much better.

It's so hard to say goodbye...

Sometimes you put so much work and effort in. You worry about it, you fuss over it, you ruin it several times, you hate it, you want it to go away and never come to pass, then it starts to work because you stop being stupid, then it's awesome, and then it's time to let it fly. By then, of course you don't really want to, because now you have a history together. You remember all your effort, how you helped it become the project it was meant to be.
Project wedding present: Complete as of an hour before the reception, and only because my dad is awesome and helped me make it work. I bought a clock piece that was too short, wha wha. He sat and chiseled the back down for me. Dad is so nice. I like him.

pictures were a little hard to get, blame it on the last minute. That darn minute messes so much up.

It's not perfect. There are things I would change. The clock hands are hugemongous, but I kind of like it. All in all, I think it was a worthwhile endeavor, I hope she likes it.

I kinda wanted to keep it, and I almost did.

That's a wrap!

Warning: Viewer discretion is advised...

We have been sick, and by we I mean the boy. Have you ever seen such sad eyes? I didn't even get a picture to do his sad eyes justice. They have been leaking and green. It's pretty disgusting. It is also amazing the power of anti-biotics.
I am happy to report he is much better today. I think he will always have a hard time faking a sickness. His eyes tell the truth. Poor baby. I felt like I had a gooey green army crawling zombie after me all day. I then dreamed that some nasty zombie vampires were trying to eat me. They were gross too. Hopefully it will be all wondrous sleep and rainbow unicorns tonight. I am beat.

All but cotton candy...

We had a fun weekend this past one. We were at the parental unit's home for a 100 year celebration of education! I know, you wish you had come.

I woke up to the wonderful smile of my sweet baby boy. Actually, his dad woke up to the sweet smile of our wonderful baby boy and he even got his milk and everything, because mom has been up sweating all night. (*sings* I loooooove hormones soooo much!*) We had biscuits and gravy, because that's what you eat at Grandma's. Can I tell you how nice it is to have married into a family with the same biscuit and gravy values that I grew up with? It's really nice. Biscuits and gravy are just dreamy, and make you feel so wavy. (Seriously guys, songs were sung about the pure joy and bliss of biscuits and gravy when I was a kid. We made up songs, that's how much we love them. That, and we were weird kids, fun, but weird. Since the majority of this audience are those kids, they can attest.)

I stressed out about finding a babysitter for next weekend so the husband and I could go out on a date! Cinematic titanic! I know you are jealous of that too. Mrs. the Q finally took pity on us and our babysitterless state, and I bought tickets. Then the boy and I went outside and sat on the trampoline. It was a beautiful day, the breeze, the sun. It was heavenly. We said hi to the goat and the rabbits, and sat on the trampoline some more. Then I went in and saw that all the other girls were dolled up, so my sis in law dolled me up too.

Ask the kiddo how much he likes static. He loves it. Not so much.

Then we went on an all girl lunch date. To the A&W at the truck stop. I know, you are sooooo jealous! But we had a great time and we got to talk and hang out and it was really nice. I find it is best to marry into a really nice family that you happen to love. It makes married life so much more fabulous.

This is the all dolled up me. (above)

Then we went to the celebration. There was a petting zoo, and a dunk tank, and good food. There was also a big wagon being pulled by three mules. It was a really nice day, and a really great weekend.

Llama face!

and I really really really wanted to take this little lamb home and name him lambert or herbert and love him forever.

The cousins watching the dunk tank.

The boy watching the animals.

so the kid who's head you see there, For some reason he decided I was a pretty awesome lady and followed me around for a while. He asked me fight him in the blow up battle thingy. I declined, and then he left. I guess I wasn't as cool as he thought. It's not his fault, red heads have always been inexplicably attracted to me, I am not sure why.

Some Elvis lip for your enjoyment.
On Great Grandpa's saddle.

Ride em cowboy!
Now, you might think any kid would like cotton candy. I mean, what's not to like about cotton candy? This kid especially should like cotton candy. He has eaten Grapefruit without so much as a pause, limes?, no problem, pickles?, bring em on. Cotton candy? Now that's where he draws the line!
And his dad is mean, and even made him wear it.
The wagon ride was fun, and when dad would say wooo hooo, the lil guy would whoo hoo back. That's his wooing and hooing.

And these little darlings sat right up front and chanted, "faster! Faster! Faster!"
As we waited in line for what seemed like an eternity to get cotton candy, because we thought the boy was just kidding when he didn't like it, we thought to ourselves, what a nice day, and it was. Then we walked home in the dark and sang, Tonight you belong to me and ate our cotton candy and laughed at the faces the boy made when we tried to feed it to him. Perfect!
P to the S, you now have to push play on my playlist because the hubs is morally against playlists that play automatically. It's lame, but that's how it is.

Project anxiety...

Do you guys ever get project anxiety?
Of course, it seems that most of my life is surrounded in anxiety right now. I am pretty sure it is the hormones. I can't wait to be off of them. I feel that panic, which is usually reserved for, well, pretty much all of Jr. High. That's kind of where I am if you really think about it. My face is broken out, I don't have any friends, I live with family...It's just weird. I feel like I second guess everything I do. I can't dress myself without over thinking it, and there's the depression. It's tedious. I hated Jr. high, so now it's like going back but with hot flashes and gray hair. Fun times.

What were we talking about?

So, I have it in my head to make something for my dear friend who is getting married. Will it be added to the pile of unfinished projects? I hope not, but it's hard to make something for someone else. Especially because she has her own house, which I haven't seen so I don't know the feel of it, and I am not sure of what she needs. Everyone needs a little robins egg blue, am I right?

My philosophy on home decor is this, if you love it, put it out there! This is why my house is usually a little more cluttered than some, but by George it IS interesting to look at, and it makes me happy. I mean, it would if I had a house. *cricket, cricket* I have friends though who are very paint with number, this color belongs in here and everything has to match. I think I am over thinking this though. Although, my thought is, if it's going to end up in the yard sale next year, I would rather I didn't make it, you know? Why put forth all the effort, and mental anguish if it's not really going to be LOVED! It shouldn't surprise anyone, I have a really hard time buying presents. I don't like to get things just to get them, I like knowing I hit a home run when it comes to gifts and with some people, I am pretty awesome at it, if I do say so myself. I haven't seen this friend as much as I would have liked so I am a bit more disconnected than usual.

The other problem is, you guys, I have such a list of things to do! I have a crochet purse to finish. I have a crochet robot I never got to my friend, to finish, her daughter is going to be 23 before she gets it. I have something I need to make for another friends baby, because I told her I was and then I haven't. Then there was that post on Facebook where you make something for 5 people. I have that figured out, but nothing ready to send. I have formula cans to refashion, I have a camera I would love to figure out, photoshop to learn and become amazing at. My ukulele is completely lonely. I also have 5 dolly's to crochet. Here's the saddest part of the story, I am kind of over crochet for the moment. *gasp* I have a few other projects, but it seems that I can never get anything completely together enough to embark on these projects.  Not to mention the sewing I would like to learn and master and totally rock at.

You see why I wear myself out?

No wonder I am pimply. *cries*

So, do any of you get project anxiety? How do you over come it? Gift card?
Also, I really am struggling with my personal style. I totally have panic attacks over it and I THINK, maybe I was once stylish. So how weird would I be wearing vintage hats out? Do you have to be completely vintage to wear the hats or should I just throw them on with reckless abandon? It seems the hair needs to be somewhat vintage as well with a hat. Are they inappropriate for church?, because let's face it, that's the only time I dress up. I do get myself dolled up but then I just hang out in the basement, walk to the post office and chill with Dr. Phil. It all seems so futile. I don't know, I just don't know, and I guess that is the problem. No, I bet the over thinking is the problem, which is probably linked to the hormones. We have come full circle.

Faux bangs, holding a cute baby. I made him the shirt he's wearing.

In other news, I started this post, went to the store and came back, but while I was going to the store there was a kid who totally did the robot across the street. It was pretty awesome, and it made me wish I had my camera attached to my brain at all times. How cool would that be?
