We are back. The ground seems to be in constant motion and my tummy is angry but it was so much fun. I would recommend a cruise to anyone. We had so much fun and saw beautiful things. Aside from my mother falling down a set of stone stairs, whacking her head and being covered in purple bruises. That was the opposite of fun, especially to witness, which I was the lucky winner of that privilege *shudders*, it was a really great trip and I am so glad we went. (She is mostly OK, still sore, but up and moving.) Once I get home to the snow and ice (ew) I will post some pictures and go into more details. I hope you all had a wonderful New Year and I hope this year is off to a wonderful start!
Oh, how I dread going back to my real life. We contemplated hiding under the beds to stay but decided it wasn't feasible. That, and they have ways of knowing if you are still on the ship. Bummer deal man. Looks like a healthy does of reality, real life and trudging through snow in my immediate future. Three weeks away from home is an awful lot, it will be nice to be home...I guess. I find myself wishing I had a chef living in my house who would prepare beautiful and delicious 4 course meals for me, oh and someone who cleans up for me everyday. I tell you, a cruise is a wonderful way to travel. More on that later.
It's been an interesting three weeks. Lot's of stuff has happened, lots of emotions to deal with and contemplate. Many things that leave me with no option but to trust God. Why is that so hard sometimes? I guess because we want what we want and we want it now. Like I tell the kiddos at school. You get what you get and you don't throw a fit. Does anyone else have moments where they want more than anything to throw themselves into a heap and just kick and scream? Maybe it's just me. I find myself wanting to do that, to just let out all my frustration and pain, it doesn't change a thing but it seems like it may temporarily help. I also want to roll down a lush grassy hill in a big petticoat skirt so...
yeah.
Wouldn't it be nice to go back to being a kid? Jill's pictures of Lu in the leaves makes me wish I could.

Im glad you enjoyed the cruise. I hope your mom is okay, my mom has had way too many spills lately, naughty moms!
I hear ya on the kicking and screaming...I actually have done it lately unfortunately.
Kells,
We must be soul sisters because I want to do all of those things too.
The tantrum, the petticoat hill rolling & ESPECIALLY the cook & maid thing. I felt exactly the same way when I got back from my cruise. "Hey, I dropped my towel, and no one picked it up? or folded it into a puppy" "Hey, where is the day's menu in my mailbox" It stinks to come home.
I am so sorry about your mom, good grief, what is going on?
so glad you had fun. I hope to be able to go on a cruise someday... soon. Before i die at least! Glad you likes the leaf pics! i think we could totally find you a pettycoat and roll you down the hill! That would be fun.
can't wait to see the pics from you cruise and I hope you mom is feeling better and I hope all our moms please stop falling! I'ts truly horrible especially to witness.
Sorry to hear about your mom's spill. Yikes! Glad to hear everything else went well. Hope things work out for you guys. Lots of love!
You're poor mom! I'm glad to hear she is doing ok. Give her my best!!
I can't wait to see pictures from the cruise. Rich and I were lucky enough to take one 5 years ago. It was fun!
Oh, man. Can I join you? The pictures of the kids & leaves are AMAZING!
*and, hon, there are times when I DO fall in a heap kicking & screaming. It's hilariously relieving - and it gives the kids a good laugh, too ;) -- okay, so the trip to that point is a bit edgy :)
Scary stair story, by the way! Eep!
