The neglected blog...

I realized that the people here who are not on my facebook are probably wondering what has been going on with us. Well, We are crazy people. Crazy people who won that crazy contest, crazy people who moved, and crazy people who are now living with my parents. Crazy right? The babies are doing good, they are hacking up a lung right now, but all things considered they are good. As of now we have been here a month, the majority of our junk is out in the garage, and life is messy but good. I have dreams of organization but I think I need to just let those go. It will come if it comes and if it doesn't we will survive it. If you want to see our fabulous pictures go here. You may have to scroll down a bit but they are good, and you know us so I will trust you will know when to stop. Also there is documentation of my shopping trip and my spa day on that blog if you are interested and have some time to kill. In case you forgot what we look like here is one to remind you. There now you will know it's us. :)

Because it's June...

And because I never shared, but mostly because they just had a sweet baby boy. In their hearts I am sure they are doing the same thing... Congrats you guys! I am so excited to meet him.

My sunshine...

This is J's snazzy suit from the 70's. We almost missed our window of wearing, I was determined not to let it pass.

The boy loves Jingle. It brings such joy to my heart to see him start to pretend.

I just love his face in this one.

The sweetest boy ever. I am so thankful for his joyful happy spirit at this time of stress and adjustment. He is such a joy.

When the cat's away...

Hey guess what? WE ARE HOME! *confetti and fanfare and joy and dancing*

It's weird to come home to a home that was only your home for a few weeks but it's home none the less. Guess what else? J has applied for a job so we may be moving again. Even if he doesn't get it his boss wants us back in Flagstaff within a year so there's that.

Has this ever happened to you? Let's say you are having twins and living in someone's basement. So, you say to yourself, "Self, you are going to have three kids we really ought to get our own place." So you do what you can, and the boss says you can stay, and you think you are so clever because you moved before the twins came (by a breath), only to find out you still get to move with three tiny children. Life has been teaching me that I am in no way shape or form in charge. It kind of sucks, so I wish I would learn my lesson. On the up side, hopefully we will move to a house with a yard that has more than sunshine and rocks to offer. A sliver of shade or grass would be nice.

We were gone 4 months. While we were gone our house became a mouse super hotel. I am still finding evidences of their party. Stupid mice. Thank goodness for family who loves us and cleaned that up before we came home. I can't even imagine if I had come home to that. Can you say super meltdown of panic and doom and crying and wailing and gnashing of teeth? I can. That is what would have happened. Thank you ladies for keeping me sane.

J's family is all going to heaven, there. I have said it. I am glad I am a part of it. :)

You may or may not remember a post I did about something I had made as a Christmas present. I was going to reveal it's sheer awesomeness and then we kind of missed Christmas and I didn't get it to it's small new owner. I got it all done, and took some pictures. My dear mother is here helping us not be crazy people so she can take it to Miss Tati.

I am sure you all want one now. They will be all the rage, I am sure of it. If you do want to make one though. I used This pattern here, I changed the back posts to just regular stitches. Then I just made little circles for the dots and larger ones for the ears. If you want more specifics let me know. Also if you find you really need one and cannot make it yourself let me know, we could work something out. Although, you would need to give me plenty of time to get it made. I am still working out how to use my time more wisely. These kids are running me ragged.

I think she came out really cute though.

Anyway, I am glad we are home. It's a much better place to be.

Setbacks and blessings...

This last weekend we went to see miss Doodle and found that she had gone up on her O2. Yesterday we went back to find she was still up on her O2. She also threw up all down my cleavage. A flood of stinky warm frustration swept over me. We had just had a big fast, we were trying to do everything we could, why wasn't she improving? The tears were right below the surface all day. If anyone had hugged me or been overly kind, I was going to blow. This was also compounded with the fact that I knew our sweet little boy was going to be leaving us for a week or two to visit grandparents and get a break from being trapped in a small hotel room. Plans changed and the boy went with J's parents. I cried like a baby. Who was going to play the guitar and sing for me? Who was going to rock the Air conditioner?

It was really hard to let him go. We went back to the hospital and snuggled Doodle. As I sat there looking at the 500 written across her O2 thingy, I thought maybe I need to look on the bright side. I would hate to get her home only to have more complications and problems. Hopefully, she will be so ready to come home when she comes home it won't even be funny and we will be able to move forward. We have been so blessed and it is what it is. We will do what we have to do.

Last night we had a special engagement return of Fartty McStinkerson and the up all night band.

I am hoping it's not an all week gig. This morning I woke up a little happy not to be awoken at 7 am by the Disney channel blaring that annoying wake up wake up song. I will admit I was feeling a little tired and sorry for myself. I miss the boy. And then something amazing happened.

A wonderfully sweet girl nominated me for a contest in the Safford area. I could win a makeover, $200 at a super cute store downtown and a photography session for our little family. I was overwhelmed. I did start to cry, but what is new? I felt so loved, that Rachel had thought of me. What a blessing. So even if I don't win, how wonderful to feel so loved. I gotta say though, it would be pretty amazing to win. So if you want to help me win go vote for me here!
Super fun right? I am really excited to be a part of it.

I want to thank everyone for their fasting and prayers. I really did feel the love and support and even though Doodle hasn't had a miraculous recovery, we have to have faith that what is best is happening and all will be well in due time. Thank you guys. I love you all so much.
