Because she is the only one who would sleep through the night. Well, if she didn't share her room with a foghorn.
Have I mentioned it's been a rough week?
Saturday I was up all night with a laboring dog. Can I give some advice? Don't read the internet about anything. It's always worse case and it's always panic. The internet is a worry wart and it produces worry warts.
Sunday morning began with a trip to the doggie ER. They wanted $3000 for a c-section. Luckily Ellie started popping out the puppies just in time. Then she popped out dead puppies 3 hours later. Then we checked on her around 3pm and poof one more pup! It was an emotional roller coaster.
Add one slightly feverish girl and stir to combine.
The fever progressed. The kids are trying to visit puppies and I am exhausted. My loudest and most opposed to sleep screamed through the night and woke up with a fever.
Monday we all were just trying to rest and recoup. I cleaned up the most foul of doggie excrement through out the day. I didn't toss my cookies, but I wanted to. Seriously, I know what the bog of eternal stench is made of, I've lived it. Loads of doggie laundry.
Monday night Moonpie spiked a big time fever we got it down got him down to bed. The boy decided he couldn't handle sleeping in his room so that was a rigamarole. Got him back to sleep and foghorn (moonpie) woke up. There was no getting him to sleep. He was hysterical, woke up doodle honey and I was up watching Mickey Mouse with the sun. On the plus side, I got the people laundry done.Yay?
Today we have fevers with horrible rashes, laundry to fold, and I am sleepy to boot.
Getting moonpie to the doc tomorrow and hoping for a sleep filled night, but not counting on it. Those high fevers are no joke, and make it hard for a mama to sleep.
Long week. Tuesday almost over.
*sigh*

Oh man. I was getting exhausted just reading about it. I hate those sleepless nights with sick kids. Hope things are looking up.
